My Hibiscus Tea Recipe

Cold Brewed Hibiscus tea

What you need:

A gallon glass jug or container (I am trying to limit plastic use/ microplastics)

Dried Hibiscus tea leaves (I found online)

Cold filtered water

Sugar or another acceptable sweetener

Optional:

Ice

Seltzer water (purchased unflavored of flavored only with real fruit juice)

Lemonade

Fruit or mint for garnish

How to make:

Place a handful of hibiscus tea into bottom of glass container. Fill up with cold water. Leave overnight in the refrigerator. Next day strain the tea and pour back into the glass container. Heat 3 to 4 teaspoons of sugar in a small amount of water to melt on the stovetop into a simple syrup. Let cool, add and stir. Pour halfway up a drinking glass with ice, add seltzer water and a splash of lemonade.

Garnish to make it fancy. Enjoy, it’s so refreshing and good for you!
