My First Post
My first post. I am 61 years old and glad to be here on this blog and still on this earth. My interest is living with wellness. Striving to do so is difficult with the significant stressors most of us face. Everyone has their own story to tell, their own difficulties to manage and solutions to find. Our response to our life problems determine the level of stress we generate for ourselves and those around us. I would have to say that from my work experience that anxiety is the number one mental health concern that I attempt to help people cope with. Anxiety is what happens when we are unable to solve a problem and the situation becomes chronic. For whatever reason we cannot take action and so a feeling of helplessness, powerlessness seeps in. A good deal of the time this happens without awareness because it is happening on a subconscious level .The result is that we can be consumed by the emotional feelings that are going to be prevalent. Emotions are impossible to ignore. We can ignore our problems, but if we do, the anxious emotions that result cannot be ignored.
Depression often follows anxiety. Sometimes anxiety follows depression. What is certain, is that such states of mind will if chronic eventually affect physical health. This is because the mind and brain/body are not separate and are linked in a complex manner that is not fully understood. My blog is not medical advice or about medications I prescribe. it is my recommendation to seek out that help if you need it. It is my hope with my blog to bring awareness and healing to others, about how to grow more love though understanding of self, others and humanity. I don’t have all the answers for sure, but follow along with me. I hope you will find some inspiration along the way.
